I've tried updating the driver directly from the Properties applet and via Windows Update but no joy. The properties for the KodakHero scanner show that its driver in not installed. I also reinstalled an old Samsung ML-1610 lazer printer and that also appears OK in the Printer section of Devices and Printers I haven't tried printing from it coz it's out of toner. It's scanner works (can't tell if the printing works coz it's out of ink and I expect the printhead has dried out by now). I've reinstalled an old HP PSC750 all-in-one printer scanner on the PC and it appears correctly in the Printer section of Devices and Printers. The printer/scanner works OK on 2 laptops running different versions of Win10, one hasn't got the KOdak software on it so I guess that it's working off the native Win10 drivers?. Then the printer started printing very faded to almost invisible. Recently the scanner stopped working and I've tried over and over to reinstall it but no joy. The printer/scanner used to work OK on this PC but I noticed that after a Win 10 update, sometime ago, that the device had dropped out of the Printers section of Devices and Printers (Control Panel) into the Unspecified section but it still printed and scanned. Amoungst other things the software does not install the scanner drivers. I'm trying to reinstall a Kodak Hero 7.1 all-in-one printer/scanner on a Win10 PC but the software is not installing properly.
